Sulk

A pitch black cloud surrounded by dark gray clouds like those that you see before heavy rainfall, Sulk is a spirit as gloomy as its name implies. Made from the collected emotions of regret, hurt, guilt, and the like, Sulk can often be heard weeping in multiple voices dear to, or familiar to the listener, often someone they hold very dear, or want to forget. Sulks are able to manifest different forms, from memories of loyal pets, to the most distinct-looking loved ones. In its pure form though, Sulk is a large, watery gas-like entity who often manifests large thin hands made out of the shadows. All sulks have masks. These masks are their core, but they do not show it until whoever they're mentally connecting to understands their sorrow, for example, has experienced a similar painful event. After all, it is said that they are only spirits from the netherworld who were banished, and are looking for a place in the mortal realm.

Sulks tend to be timid, defensive creatures. They are almost never hostile, unless violent emotions are stirred within them by nearby people. They usually manifest in places where a lot of negative emotion is poured out, because this is what they feed on. Not everyone can be seen by sulks. They're quite shy, and are very cautious when choosing to show themselves. A sulk though, can become a very loyal companion to a lonesome person, sometimes possessing them even without their host knowing it. When this happens, the host is offered occult protection, but in return, they are easily saddened, or tend to recluse from society. Thus, the sulk gains more power. Despite this, a Sulk will never do anything to hurt its host. Sulks are not malevolent spirits, and will leave its host when it asks it to, in truth. Though When used with ill intent and destructive drive by its host, then a Sulk could turn into something more gruesome and blood thirsty. If its owner or host finds true happiness in their life, then the Sulk will naturally let go to look for another host, in some cases, be purified, and ascend to a higher spiritual realm to be reincarnated as a benevolent identity in its record of good deeds for the host. If all alone, desolate again, then a sulk may return to its owner as a different type of spirit.
