Thelsphyr Desert

Extending from the western, all the way to the northwestern, regions of the Delphynir continent is the great Thelsphyr Desert. This water forsaken land is covered with sand dunes as far as the eye can see offering no protection against the heat of the sun. During the day, the temperature of the Thelsphyr rises to 80 degrees, just a little under enough to scorch almost any living creature on the continent, and at night the temperature fall to about 60 degrees. No water source flows through the Thelsphyr and any rain which falls on it can never quench its insatiable thirst, drying up in an instant. The harsh environment of the Thelsphyr makes it almost uninhabitable, though it is not devoid of life. The Thelsphyr is not without its dangers, though it may look lifeless, some of the most aggressive, predatory creatures of Phlyndir can be found in it.
