beneath the city of sin, veron, lies it's sewer systems filled with the trash and disease of Veron. This sewer goes far deeper into a swamp like area with floors covered with leeches and poison. Many people live in this swamp as they have lost everything from the gambling virtues of veron, and now have to fend off in this putrid place or survive the horrible wilds outside of Veron. But the people of the swamp have been cursed by a terrible blight and are now slowly dying, but this blight is infectious and spreads rapidly. If no cure is found all of veron will be infected as well.
